Right Worshipful Freddie Hurt, 33°, has built his Masonic journey through lodge leadership, district service, and a sustained commitment to instruction.
His record reaches from Selma, Alabama, to Leavenworth and Junction City, Kansas. Along the way he has served in the East, supported schools of instruction, coordinated Grand Lodge work, and prepared brothers to better understand the meaning behind the ritual.
This profile reflects two traditions of brotherhood and service: his membership in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and his continuing labor as a 33° Prince Hall Mason.

Began his Masonic walk in Ben S. Turner Lodge No. 238 in Selma, Alabama.
Demitted to Mt. Olive Lodge No. 3 in Leavenworth, Kansas, continuing his work in the Kansas jurisdiction.
Entered the progressive line of local lodge leadership as Junior Warden.
Served as Worshipful Master of Cecil E. Woods Lodge No. 119 after being selected as its chartered Worshipful Master by MWPGM Larry Coleman.
Appointed Grand Chorister by MWPGM Wilbur Brown, 33°.
Served as DDGM in training and Assistant Dean of the First Masonic District School of Instruction, appointed by MWPGM Terry Winbush.
Served as Worshipful Master of Acacia Lodge No. 91 and as Dean of the Fourth Masonic District School of Instruction, appointed by MWPGM Terry Winbush.
Served as District Deputy Grand Master of the Fourth Masonic District and Grand Lodge Ways and Means Chairman, appointed by MWPGM Jeffery Boykins, 33°.
Recognized as the 2024 District Deputy Grand Master of the Year.
Appointed Grand Coordinator by MWPGM Johnnie J. Eaves, 33°.
Honored as the 2025 Master Mason of the Year and its first inductee.
Elected Grand Lecturer of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Kansas, carrying a jurisdiction-wide mission of practical Masonic education.

As Grand Lecturer, RW Hurt plans to work diligently across the jurisdiction to educate brothers in a way that reaches beyond memorization. His lectures are designed to break down Masonic knowledge, help brothers navigate their walk, and apply the lessons of the Craft to everyday life.
